Welcome
More than ten years ago, God led me and my wife to this church to grow and serve together with the brothers and sisters. This is a big community in Christ made up of a combination of different language groups, yet people attending our church feel we are one family. They are being loved and cared for. They have a sense of belonging and can use their gifts and talents to serve.
Our church’s mission statement is, “Empowering God’s People, Blessing our World.” We recognize that the way to build mature disciples is through a spiritual development path: Our life purpose is to “worship”; we need to be “converted,” “connected,” “cultivated,” and to “co-work,” and finally be “commissioned” to minister to unreached people and lead them to experience “conversion.” God’s will is for us to develop “Ever-growing Communities” to attract people, build people and help them be committed to God’s purposes. We rejoice in doing this and are never tired of it.
Thank God that he gave us the vision to expand the church building in 2003. We purchased the adjacent land on 685 Sheppard Ave. East, planning to build a Gospel Building to facilitate the spreading of the gospel to our rapidly growing community. For eight years, God has shown us that He is the one who can create something from nothing. He is faithful and reliable. We had the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Gospel Building in November 2010. By God’s grace, we hope that construction will be complete by April 2013. Currently we are planning on a new community centre to expand our ministry to care for the needs of different language groups, including Cantonese, Mandarin, English and other languages.
Our church theme for this year is “Blessing to all, Glory to God.” Roman 16:25 – 27 says, “….the mystery ….now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him – to the only wise God be glory for ever through Jesus Christ! Amen.” If you desire to have a deeper understanding of Christ and expand the Kingdom of God, you are welcome to join our worship and experience the abundant grace of Christ.
May God richly bless you!
